I think that is a very special celebration in lifetime.
Easter marks the crucifixion of innocent Christ out of his passion for us.
He indeed made himself a sacrifice so as to save us from bondage of sin.
It is my greatest pleasure to thank Jesus for humbling himself to assume human nature only for rescuing us poor sinners.
I highly appreciate his spirit and kindness and his infinite love for mankind.
I am sure that if one of us was told to die on the cross for the sake of others, even the most couragous would have taken to his heels.
I wish to acknowledge Christ as a hero,God the son, second in divinity in the most holy trinity;one God.
I wish to clarify that there is one God and three distinct persons of whom make up one God almighty.
As I look forward to celebrating the easter,it is my hope that we would all revise ourself before the lord and see what we have done;change for the best or expect the worst according to our choices.
It is time for repentance and penance;lets us try our best to please the eternal father during epoch of confusion in history.
I wish all my friends from yahoo 360 and mylot entire community a glamorous and splendid easter and please take time to read the bible and meditate on the passion of christ.
It is my pleasure to have this time to compose this post soley dedicated to you all.
Thank you and may God bless you.

Cricifixion and ascension are two different events altogether and not one for the other.

Isn't it that Easter is celebrated because it is when Christ woke from his grave and went to heaven? and not the crucifixion?

Yes I agree with you that this is a very special celebration in a lifetime. On my part we celebrated Easter Sunday by attending mass and offer a thanksgiving to Our God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.Of course my family have celebrated this day in coming together as one and having some fun and enjoying the rest of the day.

What is Easter? Seriously, I live in Thailand, a predominately Buddhist country an if it weren't for myLot I wouldn't know when Easter is. We will be having our traditional spring festival, Songkran at about the same time.

No, I don't celebrate easter because I am a muslim, but I share your passion about Jesus. The only difference is that while you call him God or son of God, I hold him in high esteem as a great prophet or messenger of God, as my own holy book says. He was such a wonderful world changer for the better. Despite my own religion and its prophet, I consider Jesus as the greatest of all God's creation. May the peace and blessings of God be with him and all his moderate followers.
