I Computer table might be feeling Congested!!!
Yea this is true and this is because of the wires around it.
Let me tell you
One of spike guard,One of Uninterrupted power supply( UPS),One of my TFT monitor, mouse, keyboard, speaker adapter and its long wire and it's volume controller.
Then comes my Headphone,Then some CD's scattered around.
Oh I forgot to add my Modem's wire.

congested isnt the word for mine. i have a huge desk and it is still hard to find anything on it. i can clean it and in 1 hour it is back to move that paper move this move that untill i find what i need. lol. part of my problem is though the kids think there libary books that they finish need to go on my desk as a reminder of we need to go to the libary. hubby thinks all bills need to go there so that i can remember to pay them. i smoke too so therefore i have an ashtray and smokes some where around here. i am looking at it now and i have pics, pens, bills, ashtray, smoke packs, coupons, junk mail, kids books, asprin, things the kids have made, games, cds, flower seeds lol. oh my it is bad lol. not to mention all the little things hooked up. the ups machine is the wrose i think lol.

One answer : wireless, wireless, wireless!!
I love wireless, especially with a laptop it's a must I can go everywhere around the house with no wire attached - I just leave the mouse wired because I am not a big fan of the mousepad!
The only 2 things I plug when when laptop is back on my desk are the printer and the power cable to charge it up

Yes mine is a bit congested and it is the sign of the times. I try to keep mine in an orderly fashion however somehow they become intertwined amongst themselves. I have a printer too so that adds to the situation. At least I do have the majority of my CD's in alphabetical order in a box!

I found that the shelf I made to sit above my desk is very useful.
Just a shelf the same width as the desk with legs each end that sit on the desk and high enough to clear a 19" tft monitor sitting on a stand that the keyboard slides under.
The power supply anti-surge strip is screwed to the back/underside of the shelf so that it is easy to plug in new power and also to switch it off when needed. There is also a light fixed to the underside of the shelf shining down onto the keyboard.
The sides of the shelf legs have hooks for pen drives, head phones, bubble packed kit and bluetooth dongles, etc.
On top of the shelf is the printer, scanner, fax, and CD/floppy storage.
It works really well for just a simple shelf you can make yourself.

Sort of. My school books for next quarter are on the right hand side. The printer is above that with folders and notebooks, lamp smokes medicine phone and one speaker. My monitor is sitting one 7 old thick books that I donot use anymore. Pepsi one is sitting on edge of desk in easy reach. ashtray and jar of m&m's with mouse is in front of me, mouse has plenty of room for me to move around. Keyboard is on keyboard shelf that pulls out. I clean desk and everything off once a week. lol
Have end table with all my cds and printer paper and ink beside that.

Actually my elder brother has affixed so many wires like you to our pc but i dont feel it uncomfortable while working as its not hanging out in the front portion. But i always have the problem while cleaning the backside of the table and i make sure to clean it without disconnecting any wire.Other than whatever you have stated one more additonal fitting is the webcam in our pc which is the only one connected to the ups port in the front portion of cpu.
One more thing my brother most of time keep open the cpu and i feel little uneasy to move my legs.

Organised the wires, housed them in a casing. It appears rather neat for me. I do not have any problem with the wires and cables. However, my table still looks congested. The space is taken up by the telephone, my books, notes and yes, my water bottle. I do not use a computer table. I put my computer on the writing table. CDs etc are placed on an adjouring table.

i don't feel congested. i tied all the wire. more than that, my desk is just small 1. so i bought flat screen. its sure safe space. my speaker is the mini 1. don't use lots of space either. my cd is neatly arrange in casing and keep neatly in the rack. my lan wire is neatly tight. it just my books are all around my pc area. thats my problem. kinda mess up. but i love books. i took them when i want to, n never put it back.
