What kind of instrument do you play and how often do you practise?

I first started to play trumpet. I grew up with jazz music and I always wanted to sound like Louis Armstrong or Harry James. I never practised a lot and it was kind of hard, to get anywhere with my trumpet playing :-)
But later on I found my love for Rock Music and I changed to electric Guitar. I used to play for hours and hours a day, took lessons and played in some bands.
Finally I had the opportunity to make my dream come true and getting finally my own drum kit. I always wanted to play the drums, but it was impossible, 'cause I used to live in an appartment and my parents couldn't afford it anyway. I play now since about 10 years and I still practise every day. I'm interested in any kinds of rhythmics and styles, so I'm always busy with practise :-)
What about you?

I learnt to play the violin when I was younger, but I was too impatient to learn it well so I stupidly gave it up. I always wanted to learn the saxaphone or trumpet like Miles Davis but I never had the oppotunity or time.
Luckily though I am always around music as my partner is a brilliant guitarist and my son is excellent on the drums.
We bought him a full size drumkit, which he has in his bedroom, along with silencer pads, otherwise the neighbours would have us evicted;)

I'm learning to play the guitar so I can accompany myself when I sing and I want to learn piano too my online earnings are all going to go into a fund I'm keeping for piano lessons.
At the moment I'm trying to practice guitar every day and I am slowly making progress I may get some lessons in guitar too so I can improve my technique.

I play piano for school and I am loving learning. But latelly I forgot to practice during our break and I'm getting behind. Plus short fingers hard to play.
I WAS learning guitar last year and will try to take a class again in the fall. Thats a fun thing to play! So guitar & piano are probably it for me for learning.
My sister loves her violin and wants to try a class again but cant find one around here. She has a PURPLE one she got on ebay its a real kick in the pants to see it! ;)

I play the guitar, I just added a gibson les paul studio
to my collection of guitars. I try to play everyday and my kids
started playing too so it makes it that much more enjoyable for
us to play together.

Don't worry about the age, it's never too late. It might be too late to become a professional music teacher, but it's not too late for having fun, play and jam with other and just having a good time. And remember this... Kurt Cobain wasn't a great guitar player at all and he still got famous and successful :-)

I play guitar, and keyboard. i started to play this instrument when i was a choir member and tried hard to learn. It needs a lot of determination to learn and it will be easier if you have the natural talent. I do song composition too, i love to play the guitar and sing like a folk singer do. he he he but my greatest wish is to learn how to play the drums and be a band member... well i guess its too late for my age but i am still wishing to fulfill this and i wish i will also be performing in this kind of thing. As i am always giving my performances in dancing and in choral groups. At this point i do a lot of singing and playing the guitar when at home. This is my way of relaxation from a days work.

i do not play anymore.
learned at an early age how to play the piano,
did that for a few years but then there were a few problems and i quit playing..and i am sorry about it.
i forget almost everything i learned and i love music.
my brother plays the guitar from a very young age and even has published his own cd
i fool around playing the organ somtime but i always get so mad for forgetting everything that i leave it.
i hope i will be able to go back to the piano someday..

well, i play the guitar.. I only own an acoustic one, cause i can't afford an electric one! But i badly wanna rock, so i frequent my friends' place, so that i can practice with their fenders and gibsons. I really dream of becoming a good metal guitarist one day , and i'm quite good at playing it now.. nowadays i'm using mylot and my blog to the max so i'll be able to buy me a good electric guitar soon!
