Okay, so my birthday is on the 8th of April and I'll be turning 20.
The problem, the problem is that for some reason every time I think of it I feel real down!
I don't recall ever feeling this way about a birthday as I'm usually somewhat happy, but now sometimes even when someone mentions it or I think of it, well sometimes I feel like crying.
I can't figure it out, I have no idea why I'm like this this year, especially as I believe that what matters is the age you feel, the age you have mentally then that of candles on a cake, and I'm not turning that old either, so I can't seem to figure it out.
Sorry just thought I had to get this off my chest!

How do you feel now, seeing as your birthday has passed? :-) I also feel a bit sad that I'm getting older, I can't do all the things I wish I had done when I was younger, I get nostalgic... But that's what life is, I hear your 50s is the best time of life, we'll see... :-P

Still feel a bit sad but I'm trying to put the feeling behind me, after all there's nothing I can do about it, by the way now when you get a reply in other discussions you get it sent to your e-mail so you don't have to check back all the time like before! Don't know if you knew that yet sis...

Oh sweetie, who's causing you to have those "blues." It might be that you're having PMS. Try not to put more stress in your life. Look for something positive to do. Holler 100 of your friends if you can. PM me if you like. I've got two long ears and am ready to hear you out. Don't worry, sweetie, I'll give you a + rating here to cheer you up. As a birthday present for you, I hope you can gladly accept my special virtual carrot cake for you. Advance Happy Birthday, PT.

Thanks charms. Don't think it's PMS as I'm happy to say that's passed a few days ago and only mid moth will be getting it. I've felt like this for a few months now. Thanks for the plus, I plus you whenever I can (; And thanks for the virtual cake hehe, I'm guessing the previous poster might be right, I'm subconsciously dreading going out of my teens, it's the only possibility so far that fits. Thanks for the answer.

Birthdays are a bit hard to avoid. You develop a resistance after a while. I hope you're not getting too down. Look at the positives; you're the person you are, and you're only that age. Not such a bad score, is it?
Age is nothing. I know people older than I am who look like kids to me, and I've seen kids who look like they're older than I am. It's who you are that matters.
(If you're not sure why you're having these moments, keep an eye on it. Might be overdoing the workload.Even teenagers can work themselves to pieces.)
Happy birthday, SKLC_PT.Make sure it is one.
Sorry I haven't been around myLot much lately, too busy having my life upended for the last couple of months.

Hi my friend, Birthdays are one remarkable part of our life for we celebrated it every year with the same date yet the year that we spend differs from one year to another.
Having that feeling is somewhat normal we really do feel upset sometimes without a cause it is just a feeling of another year will added to your age but as the time will come and you will celebrated it you will certainly be happy because after all life struggle god was so great to gave you a healthy body and mind to spend another year in the pink of health with god guidance and blessing.
Cheer up my friend! It is your day and you are the star of that day!!! I wish you all the best in life can bring! Happy birthday!!!
