What is the significance of rating given to your comment?

Everyone can rate a comment. If you hit the + sign next to my post I'll get a positive rating. It's not really for anything, you wont make more or anything, it just show how well liked you are here on myLot.

the more you have the rating numeral within the the star attached to your user id more is what mylot going to pay you for your responses rating is provided by the owner of the discussion and also the other members but its the discussion owners rating which have more value over the rating provided by the other members
