My friend has a rabbit. He only kept it in a cage and sometimes give him food, like carrot, cucumber or lettuce.
I think it's not that hard to raise a rabbit.
The hard part is to love the rabbit with all your heart and promise not to leave him, say I DO.

Rabbits aren't hard to raise and they give so much back when they love you (their personalities are so special). The only problem that I've faced is that they can die so easily. Female rabbits especially are prone to cancer after 5 years.
Still, I think they are worth it. They are sooo cute and they have those amazing personalities. My rabbits would give me kisses and I loved how they would jump up in the air, kick up their heels, and toss their heads when they were feeling good.

Rabbits need a large enclosure for space to run around, a hay based diet plus veggies and possibly pellets, and vet care when ill. They can be expensive at times. I'd definitely agree that for the most part, they're harder than cats. They can be litterbox trained however, and make excellent house pets for the right person.
The hardest part for most people, is nutrition. Here's an article I wrote that should help you out:

And remember, rabbits can live 10+ years. So it's important to make sure you can make a commitment for that long.

Wow!really? they live for 10+ years! now, that's a bit longer really... so, i guess they could live longer than cats. but rabbits are prone to sickness than cats right? they could easily die unlike the cats... thanks for the information.

Oh my gosh,no. Rabbits are so easy. We got one for our daughter, and he is great. We keep him in a cage, he gets water, food and hay. We clean his cage once a week, with some "poop scoops" during the week. My daughter even plays paper plate frisbee with him. When we first got him, we left him in the cage for a few days, and just petted him that way, so he got used to us. Then we started taking him out of the cage a little bit. Now he is so used to us, we can take him out, and he is great.
