I got married 11 days before I turned 21. I think that we both should have been a little more finanically stable before we got married. Our finacially history has cased us not to be able to do some things that we wanted to do. But I love my husband and we have learned how to wok together to fix the few problems that we have. Do I regrette getting married? No some times i wished we would have waited a little bit.

I got married when I was 25 and my husband was 28.Ours was an arranged marriage. This is common in India.Financially we were doing well as I found out later. But mentally and emotionally I was ready.I had decided not to get married until I turned 25.After that I knew that I was mature enough for the responsibility that marriage brings.I think 25 is a good age to be married if your finances are good.I worked before my marriage. After marriage,I never had the chance to work.Besides,my husband said we could save enough on his income for starting a family.

For a lady, isn't 25 consider late marriage in india?
I've heard indian women married young, like 17 or 18....

Well, these days with growing awareness and education, many girls are choosing to marry late. You are right to some extent,25 in India is considered a bit late but there are many women who get married much later than that.In my own family,we have women who got married late, some at 28,some at 32 ,even 38.I believe that the more mature you are,the better prepared you are,to handle the responsibilities and problems that marriage brings in its wake.
