Yesterday I was watching the end of Tyra Banks show but enough to catch the topic of the conversation, which was on polyamorous relationships - I did not know what they even meant until she explained it: three or more people being in an active relationship as in living under the same roof and sharing the same bed!!!! I have to admit that I was shocked!!! WOW!!! Talk about being broadminded... In my ignorance, selfishness and possesiveness I must admit that I would NEVER be able to accept such a thing...would you???

I've heard of that type of relationship before. It's very mutual and everyone has their 'role' in the relationship. But they aren't married, right? I don't know if would work for me. I really enjoy the one on one of a relationship. But then again, I've never tried it either. So, in the end, what do I know.

No, they are not married...just living together.

I have my doubts whether they work in reality or not. On paper it might sound intersting but in reality might be otherwise.

I think I show the same show yesterday. I've been involved in polyamorous relationships before and they require lots of work. More than most people, in my opinion, are capable of. It's totally not for everyone and you should consider if you can deal and be happy before you attempt such matters or yourself and other people you value will be hurt.

Well, I guess if some people can make it work, good for them. There are probably several advantages to such an arrangement. Personally, I don't think I could be involved in something like that. I think one person would always feel a bit left out or "not equal" in the relationship. Plus you might always feel that you could be more easily dropped, because the remaining members would still have eachother, which might make you hold back your emotions more then you normally would.

i'll consider of it. as my religion allows such things. but, definitely i dont agree with living in the same roof.

I would never do this and I personally don't think it's a good idea for anyone. But I don't really like judging others so if they all are happy, they all made this decision together under their own free will, and it is what they feel they need - then go for it. Who is anyone else to judge? I just know I couldn't do it.

never. i am old fashioned i guess. there is no way i would be able to "share" my partner with someone. i need to know that i am loved completely. i want to know that the guy knows me and is paying attention to me and giving me his all. if i am doing it, why cant he do it in return for me. that is fine that there are other people who do it, thats up to them. i know though, that i wouldnt be able to handle that type of relationship. then again, there are a lot of things that i wouldnt tolerate in a relationship that i see other people put up with. i guess we all have our limits.
