india needs foreign coach

Well if BCCI is not selecting sandeep patil than he should pick coach like john wright or william richard.They can peak coaches like johnty rodes for feilding.

you do have a valid point there. we indians are masters at regional quibbling and from your name i gather that you are a bong (i maybe wrong, of course) but if you are so, i do know the sense of negligence and deprivation that cricketers from eastern india have faced and still do. increase in the numbers of Mumbaites in influential positions will not help matters much. a foreign coach maybe less biased in that respect.

I think not only the coach but also the selectors should be foreign....Here the selectors have the regional bias... Always a lot of politics in the selection procedures.....the criteria for selection should be 100% performance based.....In this process no captain or any other player should not recommend for a player.....Nowadays this game gives a lot of money to the player.......So I think this is also one of the corrupted field after Indian Politics.......

You open any News channel and you would find n number of cricketers from past discussing things about the state of Indian cricket. Still, much of the discussion they have goes waste as there is none who could listen to them. Even the BCCI doesn't seem to listen to its past cricketers. We should really look to appoint one of them - Amarnath,, Sandip Patil, Gavaskar, Kapil - any of them as an Indian Coach. They understand Indian mentality well and can really work wonders. Why are we still hell bent on getting in foreign coach ... no one really understands! And the irony is everyone of these foreign coach leaves with much of blames being put on him for Indian cricket debacles.
