I have to say the brain of an ox/cow. lol. it's true though. usually it's made 'kurma' style. i think it's one of the famous delicacies in Padang, Indonesia, i'm not quite sure. it taste quite good actually. soft like a bean curd. eat it with rice and the kurma gravy. yummy!there's one time a few friends and I went to Bali. we ate at this Nasi Padang restaurant, where all sorts of Padang food were served on the table. I noticed the 'brain'! One of my friends, obviously he didn't know it's a cow brain, take some and ate it. After he finished, i asked him "did you know what you just ate?" he said "sure, tofu..." tofu= bean curd by the way. i replied "No, it's the brain of a cow!"He was so shocked and drank 3 glasses of water! hahaha. we all laughed at him.
So share your most weirdest, strangest and unordinary food you've ever eaten.

I was ate the taste of chicago a few years ago, where you buy tickets and turn in your tickets to vendors for little samples of food that they serve in their restaurant. well actually it's quite a bit of food, just not as much as in the restarurant. That day I tried some strange things, but the most odd one, was probably the Ostrich Burger. It was okay, I am suprised I ate it, I would never eat something like that now!

Having worked for over 15 years in the African Sahel zone, I had to "forget" many times about "normal" food. I have eaten grasshoppers or locusts. And fried they taste very nice. On top of that, they are full of protein. But a cows' brain? I think I would hesistate much.

I once went to a fair where a booth was giving out samples of (NATURE'S) frozen yogert, so I thought I'd try some. I ate some white frozen yogert that was loaded with black specks, it was crunchy and good but when I finished eating it my friend said: Guess what, you just ate, frozen vanilla yogert with fried, ground up (CRICKETS) in it! YUUUUUK!!!!!! I too had to run and drink lots of water!!!

The most unordinary food I've eaten was aligator tail. It tasted like...chicken. I know, cliche', but it really did, only with a bit of a fishy taste. Interesting, but good. Brain!?! I don't think I could get past the mental part of it to eat it (gross!) But kudos to you for trying something new!

We have eaten beef tongue and beef heart. They are both pretty good amazingly. Have not eaten it though for many years. Just don't find it in the stores. Seems like most everything of a cow is edible by someone. Brains I have not ever seen so would not know if it could be bought here.

The most unordinary food I've eaten which other people would never try is "balut" or the embryo of a duck. You can choose either 16 ot 18 days...where you open the egg and see the little duck inside, feathers and all. It taste so good and sweet though, especially if you eat it with salt and vinegar. But I know so many of my friends will never touch this kind of food in their lives.

I would have to say octopus, I had never had calamari before . So, when a friend offered me some I tried it. I didn't care for it much. Although I can eat it, I would not order it myself. I would however take it again if it was offered to me.

No, I don't have any experience of eating any weird thing. Once I tasted a curry of dried fish, which smelled too bad to tolerate, and tasted most intolerable. I never ate it after that day.

In Asia, eating exotic foods are ordinary fare. There are a lot of people who could eat foods not on our ordinary lists of common foods. Though I don't have the tastebuds for unique foods as I just preferred vegetables, fruits, fish and some meats, I have seen people here eating python (sawa in our dialect), bats species and others. Sorry but my stomach (as controlled by my brain) could not processed those foods that easily -- not used to it.

food is very unordinary in places which are not hygineic....i prefer eating at decent places which are good hyginic place and the kitchen has to be clean..
lately i had visited a nice restro...and it had served me cold food and i got so frustrated with that that i had to complain to the manager...things got normal in a while and i was then served hot food...

I have to say a cocoon of a caterpillar.
When I first saw that food I don't know what it is. It's like a big peanut, it's colour is dark brown. When I ask what's that my friend said that it's an arabian peanut. It taste very good.
Curious of it, I eat it, and it taste really good, just like a very crunchy peanut.
But then, my friend laugh and said that it's a coccoon of a caterpillar fried with onion. He thought I'll shocked and throw up, but I don't I kept eating, because it really taste good.
And then my friend said "Don't finish it, give me some".
I laugh and we eat together.

Eating a cow's/ox brain is normal for me, as I love to eat it!;)
There are lots of exotic foods elsewhere, and most of the times some of it are used in the reality show Fear Factor.
For me, I've tried and tasted monitor lizard. I did it out of curiousity, and I find the taste like of those from the chicken. It doesn't have any stinky smell and the way it was prepared was good, because I also saw how they butchered and cleaned the reptile.
But if ever I was asked to do again, I don't think I would try it again. Even if FearFactor would offer me $50,000 dollars!;)LoL
