the Dallas Mavericks with 62-12 record at the moment is 8 wins away to join the elite 70 wins club (only the CHICAGO BULLS 1996 were able to accomplish this).. can they pull it off or not? and if they do, will it lead them to a possible FIRST NBA CHAMPIONSHIP? (again, only the BULLS were able to pull if off!) With Dirk out the last game around, can they do it? YES or NO? If you would ask me, its a big NO-NO!!

mavs 70-win dream season is gone after the loss to AI, melo and the nuggets. it seems the drive the dallas had in the midseason has diminished. but that might changed with dirk returning

lets not forget during that nugget-mavs game. dirk hasnt played. hehehe. so we see that dirk a big factor for the mavs on the road with just a couple games left on their sked.

yeah, dirk was out. everything will change as soon as he's back. but dallas has been tested and proven at times without dirk, denver just got them this time. denver is on a little run on their own. they've won their last 5

they've got road games against the nuggets and timberwolves and home games against the spurs and the jazz. they've got a very thin chance of making 70 this season. but who knows, maybe they can pull this one out. with regarding to a championship, it would be very hard to predict. the west got the phoenix suns and the san antonio spurs, both teams more than capable enough to win the title. dallas won a very close one last season against the spurs (if not for that ginobili foul) and wasn't able to sweep the short-handed phoenix suns who were without amare stoudemire and was playing with a 6-foot-8 center (boris diaw). things have changed a lot now in the west, the spurs are hungrier and for sure would want to get the title back and with amare stoudemire back in phoenix, the suns is one of the most feared team in the NBA. it would not be a very smooth ride for dirk and the mavericks

I think they can reach 70 but like im always saying season records dont mean a damn thing...Dallas could be 100-0 but if they loose just 4 games in the finals its a rap..They couldnt get it done last year after winning the first 2! come on, it aint happening, it'll be PHX vs. MIA.

It is miserable that The Mavs cannot reach that achievement. They lose 13 already, which their last lose game is defeated by the Sun.
Maybe they can reach 69 wins that season! =P

Nope This will not happen.
The heavens will not let them reach it.
What they must focussed on is there strategy on taking the playoffs and how to beat the SPURS again !!!
