Can a girl and a boy be good "friends"

They always say that a girl and a boy cannot be friends ....is it so?? what do you think ?? In my opinion i think that i possible ... :)

I definitely think it is possible for a girl and boy to be good friends. Also, I think that having a boy for a friend may develop into a love relationship and who better to fall in love with than a good friend.
