Hello pluntt!(",) At first, I did wonder why others can get over a hundred when I can't even get a 50 responses. It does depend on how many friends you've got and how many discussions you participated. Somehow, the one you've responded will check to your discussion and answer it as well. So far, the most responses I received is 40 for the topic about obeying traffic rules and regulations. Don't feel bad, you will soon get many responses as you continue participating to others discussion. Have a great day!(",)

so basically be kind to others and they will be kind to you? :) i like the sound of this and yes i have noticed if i give a quality response to someone they often give me a quality one aswell which thus means we both benifited and helped each other.

Hi Pluntt, I've been on Mylot for just over 2 months. And the most i've got (probably just lucky) was about 35 just a few days ago. I really don't know how to get the best topic. But you can actually do a search under discussions and see if the topic that you want to raise has already been done or someone just started on that particular topic. Keep the discussions coming & all the best to you! -Lyn

yep i usually dont post new discussions if they have already been up already i only do simiar ones if those have no been answered and may have been worded/tagged badly thus i redo it with changes to make it more open to people to answer.

Hey don't lose hope. Eventually you'll get loads of responses. I think you can increase your responses by being more interactive with people and starting cool interesting discussions

I don't actually keep a track about the number of responses as long as I get some quality ones. But my highest.... I guess I can say it crossed the 20 mark... don't remember the exact number. Hey Pluntt, don't worry about the number of people responding to your discussions. You just keep making some quality discussions then people will automatically start responding to you. Don't worry :) Cheers!

Last time I saw, it was 86 (and still counting because there are still more responses getting in). It was the only discussion of mine that gathered that much responses because the rest would range from zero to ten. Oh well..I knew even before I posted that discussion that I would get a lot of responses. That's the secret, actually (but I don't usually practice it). That is to just post a simple, not much of a brainer discussion that almost everyone can easily relate to, and has a target market (so to speak) for your discussion. That discussion was "Is it worth it to be a stay-at-home mom?" It just so happened that I had to make a choice at the time. Well, my prediction was true enough..it got a lot of responses, one after the other. That's because the majority of the members here are moms (especially SAHM's)! Good luck on your stay here. The important thing is for you to enjoy myLot (like I do)!

i have to admit i got one response from oen person on one of my dicussions and it turned out he did his theisis on my questions and he gave me so many fact and different views it was great. Thats the type of thing i am looking for from mylot, not just money seekers. Like i said above though it nice to see some responses build up from time to time. Bu7t then again i would give up loads of junk responses for a quality response
