I am so addicted to myLot. It just keeps on getting worse and worse and I need to do something about it fast.
I am messaging with 5 people simoltaniously (no ida how to speall that) on here, I keep resondind, I think about it all day when we are apart.
My house is a mess, the washing mounting up, the cupboards now bare - I have been eating the stuff in tins the last few days.
My earnings are the best they have ever been but I have to break away.
This can't be good for my health.
Who else would like to join?
Be brave, take a deep breath, and take the first step of admitting to yoruself you post too much.

You say your a Mylot addict, but yet you don't read discussions before you post. Great example is earlier you posted on one of my discussions about how I had 500 posts. Now obviously I don't but you failed to read the discussion. It was a joke testing those who actually read. If you read you would have understood.

Are you joking!
You obviously didnt read your response as I said something along the lines of how your number of responses is shown in the list of discussions to respond to showing 227 so if anyone thinks you have 500 then they are stupid.
Then I went on to post my own similar one saying I am pregnent when in fact the post states I am not and I am talking about how other people tell people.

LOL Claire - you make me laugh!! Actually - I have to say I'm not a Mylot addict. I do enjoy my time here, but if I'm honest, I am more likely to be addicted to some of my tennis forums, where I can follow live scores of matches, and chat to fellow tennis fans from all over the world, as we curse and swear over our favourite players losing!!!Also, when they weather is grgeous as it is today, I do like to get out and walk and enjoy the fresh air! Doesn't mean I don't enjoy MyLot though!

I think I'm an addict too because I seem to spend so much time on here and I don't even make that much money for goodness sakes!! Most months I don't even reach payout. I think I spend too much time reading other peoples posts and my responses are too long. My house has always been a bit of a mess so I can't honestly blame the myLot addiction for that but it's certainly not helped.

Just blame myLot though and claim it is the addiction and then the mess in your house can be excusable.

In the beginning it was very addictive. Now, it is starting to wear off for me. I am only here for the lovely people that are my friends. Have a blessed day, and don't worry about it. You are not alone with this. :) I've rated you again a ++ for your posting. Don't forget to rate us too. Especially the "best response."

How many best responses do you get when you just simply ask for them?
I am sure that I can break this terrible habit. The house is still a mess and I haven't socialised in weeks (only joking btw!)

Hello (stands centre stage) Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Eskarena and I am a mylot addict.
That feels better already. My husband drew a face on the back of my head so he and the kids would not forget what i looked like, lol.
Seriously, this forum is absolutely amazing. We are exposed to every culture on earth and allowed to debate and discuss issues that are important to each one of us. No wonder i find myself here day after day. In truth im either here, at work or asleep. Sad really but i do enjoy it so much
blessed be

Congratulations to taking the first step. The next one is actually noticing the weather outside the window. Often, I am surprised when I hear of the heatwave going on outside. Lol

Mylot is very addictive, I sometimes sneak upstairs to my computer to write a response, then go back down a few minutes later, then sneak back up again later, who cares about washing, baare cupboards, empty tins, they don't start discussions for you. Someone may eventually start a MyLot rehabilitation site, to wean us off MyLot, and back to the real world, but then - What is the real world these days?

I'm now suffering withdrawal symptoms, computer was broken when I came back from holiday, and couldn't access Mylot, also came back to over 3,000 spam e-mails so had to clear them out first. Tried using dial - up (broadband modem was broken), but it was taking too long to use it.
Got a lot of catching up to do.

Well, I'm an ex-addict :)
You may have noticed that I was away for a while (no I wasn't in rehab :) i even managed to be away from mylot for five days in a row (unbelievable!) now I will try to restrict myself and not spend all day here like before, it started to effect my work badly, i will no longer connect while working, just at my free time at home.. It's strange that the money is not significant to motivate this addiction, mylot has a special thing that i just don't know what it is :)
Good luck in getting over it, I guess a few days away does help as it breaks the habit.

well, no problem with that as long as you are earning and learning a lot also from a lot of discussions..
just always remeber that mylot is not a primary priority in your life.

I cannot mylot much now because I am travelling to the U.K soon and hubby took a week off..So I am forced to be weaned off..But when I am alone again in the U.KJ after my parents go I will get back to a disciplined 50 to 70 posts a day and then do other things..As I will be alone mostly..I will have the time to organise my mylotting around other things

LOL. Hi, claire. I'm natalie and I am a Mylot addict. Jeez, it's gotten so bad, I actually slept at 3am the other day just to respond to posts. But I'm trying to break away. I took a break for about 2-3 days and just watched tv but I cheated and I peeked a little but I stopped myself from responding. I just logged in to see if there were responses to my discussions. *sigh* I'm going to be strong. I have to get my butt of this chair, take a bath and go out! Wish me luck!

You're not alone, just look how Mylot is growing, and how many posts people have. I've been losing sleep, unable to tear myself away from Mylot, and getting very little else done. Last night I caught myself dreaming about possible responses to Mylot discussions. This is getting to be a real obsession. I don't have a really high posting number like a lot of people, but my number would be much higher if I didn't constantly backspace and type something else. Good luck with your addiction.

I also want to earn some money from mylot. But it is not a important reason. My aim is to contact people from all over the world. I want to pratise my english again again and again. The laguage of my country is not english, and my job is about international trade, so I have to be good at english.
I am really shocked by your message. I hope one day you can find a job, and let mylot become your interest or your part-time job.
