we have 2 little girls hannah and hailey and we recently found out that our 3rd child due in july is a boy. we are having a really hard time picking out names. a lot of people are saying we should stick with the H's even though that wasn't our intention. it just happened that 4 years ago we liked the name hannah and 2 years ago we liked the name hailey. what do you think about a name for our son? i'm not against sticking with the H's, I just don't want to do it because everyone thinks i should. we have been leaning towards logan or riley. or if we stick with H then I was thinking Holt. The middle name will most likey be Charles.

I think it's cute that your girls' both have 'H' names, but a third might be too much. Sure, it's adorable when he's a baby, but once he's in middle school? Too cutesy. I really like Logan or Riley, or even Logan Riley. There are some great boys' names out there, I wouldn't limit myself to the 'H'! Especially if it wasn't your intention in the first place and you would only be doing it because other people think it's a cute idea.

Name him whatever you want to name him! It doesn't have to be an "h" name? Keep in mind he may be a she when "he" is born. hat they think they see on the ultrasound and what you actually get may be two different things?! LOL On naming our kids we named them whatever name appealed to us. We had a girl name and a boy name picked out for each one. First daughter was a name I heard I liked, 2nd daughter it was the name of a character in a book. I don't remember where we found our sons name. When our son was born we hadn't settled on a name for sure yet. It was actually a couple days later we decided. I remember the nurses put a ? on his card followed by our last name!

I myself would find that if you used another H that it would be just too much as if you overused the letter . Myself personally ,I love the name Riley or even Rylind for a boy , there are so many different choices you would have to change the spelling and it would sound nice with Charles . Congratulations and best of luck !!

I think the name Riley is good. It sounds pretty cool, and not common.

Hey girl its just me....your my first comment ever posted on here!!!LOL yea!! Im not sure what to really tell you about the name...its such a hard decision in that he has to live with it the rest of his life...and you want to pick an appropriate and good name....mom was looking over my shoulder as I was reading this one....we both agree if you stick with the H's it might be too much...but Hannah..Hailey...and Harley!!! sound good together.. if you decide not too... then Riley is a good name. In all when the time actually comes I know you guys will make the right decision!!! Luv ya!

Some thing to remember when nameing a child is that sometime the child will live up or down to the name. Sometimes kids will not like a child because of the name. I remember 2 boys when I was a little girl that didn't have very many friends thoses name were Darrol and Delamr. I triied to give my kids name that were different because I went to school with a lot of girls with my name. I named my oldest daughter Grace and the youngest Colleen. Guess what they turned out to be very popular names andthey had some one else in their classes with the same name. Go figure.

Well I just found this discussion when I added you as a friend. It is an older discussion but I still want to share my favorite names! I too, love the name Riley. If you do stick with the 'H's,' I love the names Harrison and Hunter. BEst of luck...you are getting close now!

If you are sticking with H's, then I really like the name Hayden for a boy. If you are not sticking with H's, I have always liked the name Alexander or Alex for short.

I love the name Riley, it was on the top of my list as well as Rylan and Hunter. I think it would be cute to stick with H's but only if you found one you really love. On the other hand, there are lots of names in the similar style to your daughters' that would fit just as nicely. Congrats on the upcoming baby, I bet any name you pick will be perfect for him!

I also agree that you should not go with H. It's great that you liked hannah and hailey at the time, but it'll be too deliberate or forced if you go with another H. I've got a friend called harold and his sister is called Heidi. Yup lots of teasing there. Go with what you and your hubby prefer and forget about the Hs!! Cheerio!
