what age did your teenage daughter turn on you?

My daughter started defying my better judgement around age twelve. Peer pressure outweighed my advices, and she became resentful of my rules.At fifteen she turned back to normal. how many years of torture did your teen daughter put you through, and what age did they come back around?

Mine did it when one turned 15, and the other was twelve. They were living with my ex and went through Katrina, and it seemed to turn them upside down.We have our moments, but for the most part, it's a trip.

Ladies, thank you for making me feel normal. I was thinking it was me having a melt down with my 13 yr old step daughter suddenly living with us. We now battle over stupid crap and she insists that she knows what is best. She is still a kind, sweet girl, but boy is she ever trying my patiences. I keep telling her that if it gets much worse that I am going to send her back to her Mother ........ suddenly the airs fling around me and she is telling me that she loves me and that she is sorry. So I just need to bide my time for another 2 1/2 years before we have a good relationship again. Whew, its gonna be hard, but I bet I can make it without killing her.

for my daughter it was about age 13 till 16..from about the onset of her periods until they leveled out and became regular...i'd have 10 sons before having another girl.....she is now 27 and really a great person
