Well ...i am seriously lost .LOST is the best suspense series i have seen so far.3 things that are bothering me are :
1)"DHARMA " has it to do anything with hinduism..? ??
dharma means religion ...any indian story or wat u feel abt this ??
2)the no. 4 8 15 16 23 42 .why they are cursed .have u ever noticed that these no add up to give "108 " and this was the timer afer which one has to push the button in the hatch .
3) and third that dharma scientist has been shown using the word "namaste " is the video tapes which the
john and eko found in the station 5 .in asian countries like india namaste is greeting word which we use whe meeting some one as the word "hello" is used ..
any one has answers to this
i am just totally lost lol

HI ,i think i need to explain a bit more .
what i wanna say/ask is that IS LOST BASED ON SOME INDIAN STORY ?
why i am saying is that
firstly the use of word "dharma " dharma is actually a word meaning some religion commonly used for religion like hinduism ,jainism and budhism
secondly the use of word "namaste " Namaste is used as greeting as u people use hello when u meet someone .here we use word NAMASTE.
and thirdly the use of "108 " sec as timer .i deliberately did not adde exactly the explanation .now here saints/sadhus use the garland of 108 beads
and keep their fingers roling over them and chanting their holy words for goodwill as the people in lost do with hatch to keep it safe

I really did not watch any of the series of the LOST. In which channel is it shown. I really thank to the people who had done this. In this way they have taken our Indian culture to new levels. People should know about our culture. Our Culture is the greatest of the cultures.

well, dharma means righteousness. volumes can be written on it, but thats what it means, to cut a long story very short.
the no. 108 is infact holy for the indians, and there are reasons behind considering it so.
namaste is used as a greeting, especially when greeting elders.

Firstly I dont think the serial LOST has anything to do with religion or Hinduism. Secondly i think we in India are way behind as far as the series is concerned, people in the US and other places know much more about LOST, the others etc and lastly namaste as a gesture is also used in Japan, China etc. I hope it clarifies some of your doubts.
