Since it's so cold, what could we do for Easter?

It's been beautiful at the beginning of the week. I'm talking 90 degrees in the first of April. But here in Tennessee, the weather decides to crazy right on the holidays. For Easter, it's going to be about 20 degrees. We're all very disappointed down here because the weather has ruined a lot of our plans. We've got eggs and the egg coloring kit, but we won't be able to go outside and do our usual egg hunt. We can't just go outside and play. But we need to make Easter special and memorable, so what can we do since it's so cold now? By the way, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :)

It was feeling a lot like spring at the beginning of the week but it's turned nasty up here in Toronto. We had snow flurries last night and this morning we had a blanket of snow on the ground. The wind is really blowing, it is bitterly cold, and I seriously doubt that the egghunters will be able to find a lot of eggs--nor would they be in the mood to! Well, when my kids were little and we had lousy weather (and being up here it almost always does) what I did was buy bags of those little foil covered eggs (usually from Allan's or Laura Secord's)and I would drop a trail from just outside their bedroom doors to various points throughout the house. The eggs would lead to a spot behind the chesterfield and I'd have marshmallow chicks there, and on to the family room where I have a couple of Kinder Surprises, then on to the kitchen where I had the big chocolate bunnies (brown chocolate for the boy and white chocolate for the girl). Those times didn't turn out too badly, because it's the chocolate the little monsters are really after anyway! :-))) Have a wonderful Easter anyway...

We are the in the same situation here in Texas. BEAUTIFUL at the beginning of the week, but a cold front moved in Tuesday night and it's only in the 60s the last couple of days. Tomorrow in the 50s and Saturday and Sunday middle 40s!!! LOL We were planning on the park for a big egg hunt and all, but that may be out. We were going to do a picnic and everything. I am really bummed about it. Hopefully, it will get better. If the wind isn't blowing, it might still be ok if we are all bundled up and the sun is shining. :)

I am sorry the cold weather might ruin your egg hunt and picnic, and I hope you may still be able to have it! Thanks for your response. :)

Here in ohio we have the same weather problems,We were going to have an outdoor egg hunt for the grandbabies but with the weather being so cold and calling for snow, we have decided to have it indoors.after we gather for our meal we will have the easter egg and basket hunt.
