dvd copying

A DVD rom drive can only read DVD discs not write. You need a DVD writer and a software like Nero to create or copy DVD discs. If you buy a DVD writer or COMBO, it usually has a software already included in the package. One way though is you can manually copy the .vob files (if it's a movie) in the disc to your hard drive if you like. But I will not recommend it coz it will take a huge amount of space in your computer's hard drive. Good Luck!

There is no way to copy dvd's on a dvd rom drive, even if you have a software. You need a dvd writer.

I use nero and dvd shrink. The Nero software came free with my DVD writer. You'll have to find a site to download dvd shrink from. I can't remember where I got it since it's technically illegal.
