Lot of junk people in Orkut

I have started doing orkuting only a month or so back. At first I found it very interesting and quite addictive. I started to find long lost friends and then I found out that a lot of junkies are there in Orkut. They would send you trash scraps, sites or messages and would seem to be very much interested in your private life. I ignore these people whenever I can. I have a lot of photos uploaded in orkut also, but am afraid that these junk people might know about my whereabouts and harm me and my family through those photos. Is this possible? Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

yes my friend even ISE in this. There are a lot of people who are not at all interested in this website but still they have created an account and I have seen such people to war have more than one account. People who do not use their account can be considered by people who have multiple accounts must be using them for some wrong purpose and that is the reason they do not want to show that in their own account.

ya you are right...Ther are many junk... Orkut...i think it became the last word for friendship nowadays...orkut orkut orkut...it is coming to more popular...I am using orkut as my social site...No other site is this much cool and funny..I heard that orkut is banning in many countries... Thanks for the discussion....

First of all tell me place where there are no junkies,and if such an ideal place exists then i would also loke to join u there.Such people are always there on the internet,some element of risk is always there.So if we are careful on our part then we will be secure to an extent rest is our fate. I am also an orkut user.I also found out so many old friends of mine,so it is usefull.If i leave orkut because of a group of junkies then who is the loser??? Me of course right. About photos ,posting sensitive personal photos in public is always risky.Normally many dont get affected by the your photo-problem,but one in 10000 do get affected so remove your personal photos and try to avoid posting photos of girls in orkut as they can be easily manipulated.put personal ones in some other site and make it private such that only persons you select can view those . Cheers!!
