How long does it take you to unpack your bags after a trip? Packing for our family of 6 to even go away for a couple of days is an undertaking in itself!! After getting home from a trip or vacation the last thing I want to do is unpack! Generally, all the essentials (toiletries and clothes for the laundry) are unpacked first. I have sometimes taken a week to completely clean out our suitcase after a trip!!
However, after this last trip during spring break, I spent the morning getting everything out, into the laundry if needed and back in its proper place. We will see how I do next time, unpacking completely the day after returning home from a trip is good for me!!
How about you? Do you always unpack your bags right after you get home from a trip?

It depends on how much I bring home with me from my trip. I usually come home with more things than I took there because of souvenirs and other items. My past trip, which was last week, took me a few days to unpack everything. I was too tired when I got home to unpack so I spread it out over a couple of days. If I had gotten home in the morning, I probably would have unpacked by the end of the day.

Yes, I always unpack all of our bags from a trip immediately. I hate it but I can't stand to just leave it unpack. It will take just as much time as when I pack them for the trip...phew...
But nowadays, I tend/try to laundry all the dirty clothes at least two days before the trip's over. And before I leave for the trip, I'll always leave the house clean so when I'm back from the trip, I'll have no dirty laundry, the house is clean already and I can just a bit more relax with unpack.

I am a little like you. I tend to get all the clothes out and they go staight into the laundry basket - even if I havent worn them, I always think they smell funny after being in the suitcase.
Some essential toiletries get put away next. The rest of it gets left in the case until I can be bothered to put it away or I take it out of the case and put it in a neat little pile so I can put the case in the attack. I too have taken over a week to put travel adapters etc away after a holiday.
