I was wondering what people think of Relient K's new album, "Five Score and Seven Years Ago." I think that's it's another good album in the "Mmhmm" style, but I am starting to miss the goofy humor that made "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...But Three Do" so great.

The first time I heard their new album, I panicked because it wasn't as catchy as "Mmhmm". But give it some time and I realized this was their best album yet. "Fallen Man" was very inspirational and made me realize that we shouldn't give up just yet because there's always a second chance. "Come Right Out and Say It" depicted the exact words I want to tell the world, no fancy metaphors or similes, it's very down to earth. It also has a catchy tune that got stuck in my head for quite some time. "Give" also inspired me to overcome some hardships in life. I give the overall lyrics two thumbs up! Once again, Relient K's unique style set them apart from the other bands.
If you're not yet a Relient K fan, grab this album and surely, you'll go looking for their previous ones too.

I love the new stuff, I think they have definitely matured (but still throw in the humor as well). Sometimes the "I am soooooo in love with my girlfriend" stuff gets a bit old, but the songs are still good. I think "Deathbead" is a work of genius.

i do miss the goofy humor they used to have, but they're newer stuff isn't bad. the anatomy of tongue in cheek will always be my favorite album.
