Hello Filmbuff,
Hmmm, this is a thought-provoking question.
This answer may strike you as a tad odd, but please bear with me ... there's a method to my madness.
If it were possible to do so, I would switch places for one day with my great-aunt, who spent many years in a non-responsive coma.
I have long wondered if there is some kind of sub-consciousness for a coma patient. Also, I wonder if there isn't a profound alternative spiritual connection to either The Divine, or Chi - The Life Force as the physical body rejuvenates. I find the whole coma thing very interesting. The only people empowered to know the answer generally have no recollection of the experience.
If if turned out that there is no conscious or sub-conscious activity, then at least I'll know, and I'd have a greater appreciation for the years that my aunt lost.

Hello Filmbuff,
Yeah, that is the question. Would I remember? Taking it one step farther: if the body is still functionally alive, then what is the consciousness doing that results in an absence of recollection?
See where I'm headed? This is one of those true merry-go-round type questions. Yeah, I'd definitely take that 'switch with anyone for one day' challenge to learn these answers.
If I woke up, and had no memory of the 24hr. period, it would be terribly dissappointing, for sure. But, I'd still take the challenge for the opportunity that I might retain the answers.

What an interesting response! Never in a million years would that have crossed my mind. I've heard tales about how those are in coma's do response to extrenal stimulus. My grandmother was in one for a while before she passed away and the Doctors told us to bring in music that she wouldn't like to try and snap her out of it. She would purse her lips and such.
Now that you mention I too wonder what it would be like to be in a coma. Unless the divine were involved however, I don't think it would be a very plesant one. This does beg the question though, if you could switch places and be in a coma for day, when you were yourself again, would you remember the experience?

I would like to be Ava Gardner in Spain in the 50's. She lived there and had an affair with a bullfighter. That sounds exciting.

Ava Gardner was a Hollywood actress during the 40's through the 70's. Have you seen the movie Barefoot Contessa, she plays the lead. Have you seen The Killers 1946? She plays the femme fatale.Have you seen Show Boat? She plays Julie. She was married to Mickey Rooney for a time and Frank Sinatra. She was a beautiful Brunette.

If I couls become soneone for one day, i would like to change places with Bill Gates of microsoft and enjoying being the richest millionaire, for the day. May be I would like to live just the way he is living, very normal, to hist routine, so that I can know the secret of his success. I can see thw way he works, the way he deals with people, the methodology he applies to his life.

I would like to be a royal princess. Actually live Princess Diana's life. She is so unique, divine and an altruist. That maybe the reason why people can easily relate with her and love her. Eventhough there are some bad press about her private life.
