do you believe that we have spirits?

i'm reading a book that says we all have spirits and that is so powerful it can even control our health? i mean, having a spirit is a given for me because that has been my orientation in the Catholic school i've been to but i never realized that it can control our health, that is, if we know how. i've been thinking about the aches and pains i've been feeling and attributed it to old age but come to think of it, most of them are so simple, i'm wondering if only i knew how, maybe i could have wished them away?

I think our minds or spirits are wonderful and powerful things. i believe we at least can have an impact on our own health. I believe research have shown that positive happy people manage their illnesses better than negative people. There must be something to this I believe

i agree to that. it's just scary, though, coz you have to have a good grasp of the concept first and i don't think my faith goes down that deep. guess i need more spiritual guidance.
