In India commercial banks now offers higer inerest on fixed deposits.For example Canara Bank (nationalised Bank ) offers 10% per annuam. As such my fellow mylotters in India to take advtage of it by making fresh deposit. You may also cosider to convert old low interest paying fixed deposits by amking calculation of financial implications.
