I do wear my hair up, often just in a regular pony tail sometimes my pony tail hanging out and sometimes its looped back into my pony tail holder. I don't wear my hair up that often though as it gives me a headache most of the time.

I am not sure what it is. Its never really tight or is my hair really thick either. So I couldn't tell you why I get the headaches but I do the majority of the time.

I find it weird that so many people get headaches from having their hair up. I've read this before. The only time I get a headache is when I pull my hair up really tight (and I never do that). Of course, my hair is extremely thin and light.
Do you get a headache because your hair is heavy, or because the ponytail is pulled tightly and pulling the hair from your scalp? I usually don't have this problem.

I usually start the day with my hair down. I find, though, that when I'm working on my website or doing bookkeeping, or even just concentrating, I tend to twist it up into a bun. I used to just grab a pencil from the jar on my desk and jam it into my hair to secure the bun.
Now, though, I've discovered that eBay has lots and lots of gorgeous hairsticks. I've purchased a couple pair and put those in my pen jar, too, so that now I grab those instead.
At least now when I go out and forget my hair is up, it looks a lot nicer!

I like to put my hair down all the time, I find it more comfortable by not leave them down. Tying the hair makes me feel stressed on my head. :p
Only when I need to concentrate on something, such as doing housework or working, and when the long hair disturbs me, then I'll tie it up loosely, just a normal ponytail.

I do wear my hair up, almost every day. my hair is long and thick (extends past my waist but not quite to my hips) and I find it cumbersome to wear down. In the hotter months the weight and heat of my hair disturbs my neck. I usually just twist it up and secure it (French twist?) occasionally I will french braid it and rarely I will put it in a pony tail. At night time I like to bring my hair to one side of my head and put it in one single long braid. This helps to keep the tangles to a minimum.

I wish I had thicker hair. Mine is just so thin and stringy. I do blow it dry upside down and that helps, making it look thicker, but then throughout the day it gets stringier and messy again.
I don't like my hair on my neck either. It bothers me. I also wish I could braid my own hair but I'm afraid I can't. I'm just not good at things like that.
Well, thank you for your response! :)

Hmm so it actually feels heavy? That never went through my mind, as my hair is only about medium length, a little past my shoulders, and it's also the thinnest hair I have ever seen. When I have a normal ponytail, at the band, it's no rounder than a dime!

I used to hate wearing my hair because I never thought I looked good that way but now I've started wearing it up more. It's easier and sometimes I like the hair out of my face, and also I've been able to put it up better after I've been doing it some to make it look good. I still think it looks better down though, on me. ;)
Thanks for your response and happy Easter!

I am a girl but I was never good at doing my hair. I mostly leave it down. The only time I put it up is in the summer when it is really hot and then I just put it in a regular pony tail.

I got a really long hair now and i refuse to cut it short just yet. Since last march til june its summer right here in our country and we are located near the equator. You can just imagine how hot most of the days are so most of the time i wear my hair in a bun so that i will still feel cool.

I always do my hair up. When I'm going outside the house, I'll have a traditional ponytail. But around the house, messy bun is definitely and I'll grab just about almost anything I can find (pencil, chopstick, sometimes even a screw driver...hehehe) to make the bun.

When I'm around other people I'll use have a low, maybe loose, ponytail (sometimes I have it pulled over one shoulder depending how long my hair is or something), or a messy bun. When I'm around the house, I'll just do it however.
Wow, a screw driver? Hehe! :P

Hi, taymouse!
I do like my hair up. We have hot climate almost all year and wearing my hair down would be a mess after a while.
Some women prefer to cut their hair so short to cool themselves up but women are best with long hair. Its the classic look that all women should not part from. Its just a matter of keeping it neat and in place.
No secrets really. Any product may or may not work well with one's hair. But one thing is true that too much shampooing can damage hair.

When I was little my mom made me keep my hair short for years, until about the fifth grade. I always wanted long hair instead because I was the only one. Now my hair is about medium length, it comes a little past my shoulders and I like it this way. I have naturally greasy hair and if I don't wash it everyday it gets absolutely gross.
Thanks for your response, have a great day! :)

You should do what you want to do with your hair. If it's going to upset you to cut it short, then don't. Maybe you can find some pretty clips or barrettes for your hair. You could also use a curl enhancing shampoo and a curling iron or brush-just a little on the ends sometimes makes a big difference. As for the color, there are some that wash out as soon as you wash your hair, you reach that awkward stage where you are now. You hate it so you want to cut if off again. One thing you can do is just get a trim to neaten it up and continue letting it grow out.

Lately, I wear my hair up because my hair is now long and I want it to be neat looking. I only do the traditional ponytail. I can't do anything fancy with my hair.
