How to oveclock your computer?

can anyone teach me how to overclock my computer? my processor specifically!
I believe overclocking is a way to increase the speed of your computer.. let say i have a p4 1.6ghz with the use of overclocking it increase up to 2.0ghz.. but it depends on how you overclocked it. am i right?

Overclocking is dangerous. You can end up damaging your processor and killing your computer. Even an experienced overclocker can kill a computer if they are not careful. So now that you know that overclocking is dangerous, only you will be responsible for all the consequences should someone teach you here at mylot and you wind up killing your computer. Good luck! I hope you don't fry your PC! :)
