We almost never have holiday meals on the holiday, because my older daughter is a nurse, and almost always has to work on the holiday. So, on Saturday, while both my daughters are working, I am cooking a turkey, and a small ham for 13 people at least.I prefer New Zealand Spring Lamb, but I live in sheep and cattle country in Canada, so its impossible to find here. So, I'm peeling potatoes, carrots and turnips, making 3 pies, (at least,) a cake and some sugar cookies in the shape of bunnies and eggs for the little ones over tomorrow and Saturday morning. Then, I'm sticking the turkey in the oven at noon on Saturday, after its stuffed, of course, and having a shower and a cup of coffee, and watching some tv with my grandkids.
