well i do believe there was a holocaust i am talking about what the german people did to the jewish people, homosexuals, black and everyone that differes from them. do you believe there was a holocaust? and if you don't why? i just read an aricle that was named: "Scholar denounces "the holacaust" as myth; Jewish state creating a real holocaust" by Larry Darby. what do you think? was there a holocaust? or did the jewish people "created" it and there were no 6 million jews that died....??

I've met two survivors of Auschwitz. One of them lost all his family members. And I've been to the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem. And since I live in the country where Ann Frank went into hiding I could never deny the holocaust. Besides that there are the numerous stories I heard of non-jewish survivors who watched them being deported.

Yes I enjoyed my visit to Eretz Yisrael. btw I did not mention that I have a rather large library with literature on the holocaust. The visit to Yad Vashem was therefore a logical one. Besides that I have been to Galilee, the Red Sea, Nathanya, Kefar Nahum, Jericho, Massada, Bet Lechem, Acron and Eilat. (Excuse my spelling of some of the names.) I hope one day the Shalom will be there fore your country.

yup it happened just look at the buildings and the camps there if you have doubts I'm half German, maybe some of my great uncles had something to do with it maybe I don't even want to know the whole truth anyway, I'm like 1/4 Jewish too we need to remember it so it, or anything like it never happens again

Yes, I believe that a holocaust occured during the German's reign of terror in Europe. I've read a book titled, "World's most notorious men", as there includes Hitler and his Gestapo's activities during World War II. I even learned about the "Warsaw Ghetto", where almost all of the Jews from different parts of Europe was concentrated. I've also found out about their concentration camps, where most of the Jews are treated like guinea pigs for a "theory" that Hitler was trying to prove on. I think the most horrible concentration camp was that from Auschwitz, where the Jews from different parts of Europe, were all put into gas-chambers and others are tortured.

of cource it realy happened i am old enough to remember and i was living in europe at the time go look up some pictires of dachau or any other german prison camp at the time and see the horror of what humans can do to each other the jewish people say if you forget history it will repeat itself and if the politicaly correct folk of this world keep hiding thier heads in the sand by insisting muslims are peacefull and people like amahdinajab are able to remove this from our memory the next camp will be for Christians

Please do not compare Muslims to activities done by Christians . In its long history Islam was accused of many things , but never genocide or hate-killing . The few muslims who are now in conflict with the West are sadly taken as example for all Muslems , who are more than one FIFTH of the planet . I pity those few Muslems , because the West will oppress them and at the same time VILLIFY them , so nobody sympathizes . To prove your hatred , you actually imagine people more than 10000 miles away will actually come and put you into concentration camps , while it is obvious who it is who crossed those 10000 miles looking for trouble in the first place . For example , the war in Iraq now , how did he ever threat you ? When he commited the genocide of Kurds he was actively encouraged by the US administration , because at the same time he was fighting Iran . How did Iran threaten the West ? Because it was growing into a local power that might someday affect USA's grip on the area's resources . So you dictate other nations and whoever protests is a " terrorist " and that is extended to " Nazi " , overlooking that terrorists are usually oppressed and Nazi Fascism is an opressive regime , yet you are so blind in your hate that you overlook even definitions you made yourselves . The funny thing is that everyone in USA goes on about how oppressive Middle East regimes are , and that it is caused by Islam . While actually in all Arab countries , Islam is oppressed by USA - appointed DICTATORS ( Nazis and Fascists ) , go figure !

The holocause is a fact - a terrible sad fact. I wish it hadn't happened, but it did. I've been to the Czech Republic and to Poland, my Fionce had been to Germany and most of Europe and we both saw sights that cannot be disputed. Our experience there, as hard as it was, cannot compare to my grandfather's experience or my grandmother's even more horrific experience - being a twin in Auschwitz, under Dr. Mengale's "care". Gypsies' evidences are undisputable as well as blacks and other minorities that were the victims in that dark era of humanity. Attempts to dismiss the holocaust as fiction is not only a crime against humanity, it is also a cowardice - people are afraid to admit mankind is capable of such a thing, and it does not settle with their own view of the world (either they are racists or just ignorant). We should remember the holocaust not for vengence or anything of the kind. We should remember it so it won't happen again (although it is happening right now in Africa - is there anything that can be done about it?).

it is a fact to you and me but not to everybody just like you i have been to places and having a very hard time dealing with when seeing what happend. the yad va shem musuem (israel's holocaust museum) have published his document's and search files in the internet a year ago, and that was the first time that i saw my grandfather's writing describing how each one of his family was killed. my grandfather has not been able to speak about his family or what had happened there since he came to israel. i was in shock. and now days i am working on our family tree descovering a much larger family that i have evr assumed i had. we should remember the holocaust so it won't happen again. like you said. i am still worried about all the jews that did not come to israel after the war, many of them can not deal with this thing. and i can never judge them. about africa, israel is trying to help, and yes we are involved there we just do not publish it..thank you for your response:)

As a chinese man, you can never forget about the holocaust happened in the war against japan in the 1940s. I believe there was a holocaust in China. In european too for jewish people. And there should have been more than that in human history. Mankind is a group, but in most cases, mankind is seperated into different races. Holocaust will never stop if the hate sill be there between two races.

i need you to explain what you mean when you say a reason. i started this discussion when i read lately a few articles that stated that the jewish holocaust did not exsist, as i stated one of them in my post. the reason i started this discussion was to see how people feel about it. do they think there was a holocaust or don't they believe it and why? maybe they do not have enough knowledge about what happened. and i will be happy to discuss and explain what had happend there.

I not only believe there was a Holocaust, I know there was. As for the disbelievers, I've always wondered...where do they think 11 million people disappeared to? As for Darfur, it's appalling this is all happening all over again, as if people haven't learned anything since the 1940s. After a lifetime of preaching love and tolerance, Elie Weisel was attacked in his hotel room several weeks ago. So ignorant and hateful people do still abound out there.

Of course it happened - I wish it never happened! - I know Jewish Survivors that had been in the holocaust as young people and managed some how to escape it. - They have nightmares every time they manage to get some sleep. They lost their whole family. There will always be bad people that will say any lie they can just to cover their own injustice, and to keep their twisted pride even if they are very wrong. But be careful - Denying history will haunt the deniers. because , like it or not, history sometimes repeats itself! - They are now over 80 years old obviously. They still have the "tattoo" of the serial number the Nazis burnt on their arm as if they were some useless consumable product. The holocaust happened and extincted 6,000,000 (6 million) human beings just because they were some excuse to a mad man/nation to take over the world!!!

History is evidence to the tragic fate its victims. I believe it happened. If it did not, there will be no Nuremberg Trials, there will be no testimonies and admissions from the perpetrators of the crimes against the victims. How can the jews orchestrate a holocaust? Have they conspired with the Allies to create it? NO. It is a stated fact, that even the Jewish people are being persecuted in wartime Russia, and the latter hates the former for whatever reasons. will you conspire with a country who hates you being Jewish. I think not. I admire the Jewish people for their fortitude and strenght in this sad chapter of their history. I believe it happened. The holocaust happened.

Of course I believe there was a Holocaust, it is history. I've read a lot of books on it and I find it so horrible, how people could ever have been treated that way. If you don't believe the Holocaust then you are being ignorant to history because it's all there. Anne Frank's diary, for one. There is so much proof and it's definitely not a "myth".

Of course I believe that there was a Holocaust. There is all the evidence to back it up, such as the pictures, and the stories. Why else would thousands of surviving Jews have the same type of tattoos for an example? Or why would a lot of them who may have never met with each other have the same insights and descriptions on what went on?

Absolutly there was. I am a christian and I feel ashamed to have the name of jisus or god in the same sentance with holocaust. people did all thos things in the name of God or whatever those people do not represent me. Hitler knew where he was going after what he did so he knew that nothing would save him from what avaited him on the other side and thats what he got. 6 milion people is 6 milion too much. My heart goes out to every person that went throu that hell. It is not over (nothing to do with the current issues in Israel) with those 6 million went 6 million stories, 6 million histories, future ambitions kids and future. we are that much poorer for that as god knows what those 6 people could have done for the human race even if the person was a tool maker, or a mother, or a grandmother that looksed after the grand kids while the father went to work and mother went to study. One thing that makes me absolutly mad is that the macedonian Jews ( i am macedonian) we almost all deported (by the bulgarian gov) my city Bitola (Manstir or monastir as it is also known) had a very large population of Jewish people that was almost interely killed only a handfull of them came back (and only 1 young girl most of them were older people) so that ment that there is hardly any Jewish person born in Bitola that was originaly from there. Most of the people in Bitola when asked about the night when the jews were taken away cry because they say they could do nothing about it, they tell of friends and neighbours and even family members who were maried to jews that went away and never came home. I dream of the day when I would be able to afford to go to Israel (if I belived in reincarnation I would say that I was a Jewish person in my previous life) I feel this deep love for Israel expecialy Jerusalim and would love to visit Yad Vashem.

Well there is no doubt that the holocaust has existed. Obviously most of the people believe it happened. However, things could change in about 200-300 years from now. The jewish people must constantly remind themselves that there was a holocaust. That 6 million people had been slaughtered for no reason at all, accept hate. Why we have to remind ourselves? because others will forget. Already now we are seeing historians arguing about the amount of jew killed while others deny the holocaust as a whole. We are already seeing people, mostly anti-semitic, who think the holocaust was made up by the jews so they could have their own country, israel. So what do you think will happen 300 years from now, when the entire generation of holocaust survivors will be gone? when all the original nazis will be gone? when even the survivers sons and grandsons will be gone? People will say there are no evidence. That the holocaust is a lie. Thats why musuems like "yad vashem" are doing a work of honor. They are collecting evidence, so no one could deny the horror. We must constantly remind ourselves there was a holocaust.

I am the grand daughter of two survivors of the holocaust, and i do understand and fear what you described, that things would be forgeten. I know that there are many people all over the world that claim that the holocaust is a make up story of the jewish people. And i do hope that we will always remember this tragic event and learn from it. Thank you for your wonderful replay.

Of course it happened. My favorite book is a signed, first edition called "JOB the story of a holocaust survivor" By Joseph Freeman. I have read it severeal times. It is his heart wrenching account of what he and his family and friends went through in Poland. It was a horrible, horrible thing! Millions of innocent people slaughtered in the most brutal ways. It was conducted by those who listened to Satan and that is all there is to it. Yes, the Jewish people are still persecuted, but so are a lot of races. Take heart though, The jews are God's chosen people. It's a simple fact. I am a Christian. I may be adopted into The Body but it doesn't make me believe any less. This "statement" that there was no holocaust is just another person allowing Satan to use them to spread his lies. He loses in the end. So rejoice! Don't let the lies get under your skin.

HA! Created it. That is crazy. My uncle was in WWII. HE told about the horrific things he saw. So if it was made up...why would he say he saw it. He was not a Jew, I'm not sure what he was, so I don't think he would be making it up to create a myth. It seems impossible for them to have created a myth that is so well documented. What about the survivors? I think this man is crazy or has some sort of agenda of his own.

The Jewish people has been persecuted in whatever countries they choose to live. Although they are, they prosper. I think this is one of the reasons for the holocaust. Take a look at Poland and Germany before World War II. The Jews in these countries are very prosperous. They were common in the private and public offices. They own a lot of businessess. Eventually, the people of these countries became bitter towards the Jews and perpetrated acts of violence against them. The ultimate is the holocaust. They blame the Jews because they prosper, and they began to look at them as scapegoats when these countries began to crumble economically and politically. It's bitterness towards the Jewish people that brought about the holocaust. Hitler blamed the Jews for the fall of Germany. Poland, at that time, blamed the Jews for its backward economy. The Jew prospers because of God's covenant to him. And God will continue to uphold this covenant.
