Over the counter drugs for migraines

My migraines are not as severe as they were when I was younger and I have found now that some over the counter drugs work pretty well as long as they are taken when the migraine is first starting. If it is in full swing then the drugs won't help as much. I have taken the medications marketed to migraine sufferers before and they work well, but I have found that two aspirin and one caffiene tablet do just as good of a job if not better. It is more caffiene than is in Excedrin Migraine, and no ibuprofin.

Excedrin doesn't have ibuprofin in it but the generic of Tylenol. Just thought you'd want to know. Also just so you know Excedrin Migraine and Extra Stregnth Excedrin have the same exact medications in it just a different label. So you can buy the generic of Excedrin and get the same medication. When I feel one building I first try using some bengay (or something similar) on my temples, forehead and back of the neck. I find this can stop it in it's tracks if I get it right away. After that I find that if I use Excedrin or even Tylenol and a couple of cups of coffee when a migraine is starting I can nip it in the bud. However if I don't get it right away and it builds beyond a certain pain level (7 out of 10) I have to go with my perscription medication.
