How many discussions you start ? Do all of them good number of responses ?

Well, this explains in detail to me, what you were telling me on my post :) I think I am slowly starting to get mylot, and yes, I was really getting demotivated about Mylot. I really do like this site, and the people are great. So, having friends I guess really would make since for this site as well. Thank you :) By the way, you said something about turning ON something. So, I can get reminders... maybe.. I am not sure :P... But as for that, also, how can you check to see new discussions your friends have started since you last logged in? Any help in getting me started would be awesome. thank you :)

I always post one discussion everyday, sometimes two threads which is my limit. I'm happy to say that the responses each of my threads are generating are pretty good. I don't mind posting one thread a day. I like to give a well thought meaningful one rather than to keep posting nonsense discussions. I have some friends from my list who keep posting 5 to 8 threads within the hour and yet not partaking in any of mine. The others keep posting jokes which left me at a lost. I don't know how to respond to that kind of threads. :)

i tend to respond more than i launch discussions, largley because the ones i do launch only get a hand full of responses anyway. I have been here for 5 months now and have only had one with 73 responses the rest are around 10 to 15, but i also have a hand full that were still born and never got one response. This is really dambing when you consider that we now have 85,000 members. Oh well, guess you cant win em all. keep on posting blessed be

I normally do around 6 discussions per day, no not all of them received a good response, yes well I am the same way I like to help my friends receive more responses especially those of my friends that respond to my discussions. Yes well this is true to a point but a lot of new members like you to be their friend but they do not necessarily respond to your discussions. Yes well I am very happy with most of my responses but would prefer to receive more.

Sometimes around 5 and someday nil depends upon my time.During sometime i never get idea to write a topic.But i respond to atelast 15 to 20 topics daily.I reply to friends topic if i have to share my comments and then check in for some hot , new and recent topics discussed.

in my almost 1 month in mylot, i haven't regularly started a discussion on a daily basis. i respond more than start my own discussions. i probably have less than 30 discussions started, so that means an average of 1 discussion a day. but i don't log on to mylot everyday, and i don't always start discussions whenever i'm signed in. i'd say i will start 2-3 discussions every 2-3 days. i get responses of less than 10 for some of my discussions, the most i had was 103. a couple of discussions were more than 50, the rest are between 20-30 responses. like you, i'd start responding first to discussions of my friends' list, then new discussions, then new users. i think 20-30 responses in every discussion is fairly good. it's also manageable. :) i myself will be happy even if it's just around 10, as long as i get quality responses. :) keep it up! :)

I start only 2-3 discussions in a day and 50% of them dont get any replies!! the ones that do get about 5-6 only. But I really dont mind it. I reply to about 15 discussions in a day. I usually earn only 20-30 cents a day, but thats because as you can see I am not very active. I'm pretty happy with what i do as I reply / start discussions only regarding stuff I like or enjoy.

The friends that are on the email list will get anwsered first from the discussions posted and also the ones that they have posted then the new discussions will be dealt with after that.

I can count on you buddy. I start about 1-3 discussion daily and get about 5 replies to each of them and that's the average too. My discussion aren't that bad but the reason for less replies is not having many friends. Now, i've started adding too many people so that my discussions get replies and in reply I reply to their's. I think if my discussion atleast make it to the second page, I like it then otherwise I really don't. My replying system is the same as to yours. I don't reply to discussions other than of my friends and you see, I do that so that they reply to my discussions.

That is a nice way of doing it. I never thought to plan my responses and my new discussions in any way... but now that you mention it this way, I think I will start doing something like that. I try to respond to every friend's messege that is of concern to me, and sometimes I answer to other's discussions that interest me. If you sujest planning, I will surly try that... Thank you

Well, i am not quite regular on mylot as i dont get much time. But yes whenever I do visit my;ot, I make it a pont to reply to al who are on my friend list and who reply to me. Yes If i have something on my mind I do start the discussion, and generally it counts to around two to three discussions thatway. I dont start a discussion on daily basis as, I dont log on to mylot that regularly.

I have more fun reading what other people have posted, rather than posting my own discussions. Sometimes I'll just start a discussion to see what will happen, but I haven't really tried to come up with a good idea.

i start maximum 3-4 discussions everyday and respond to atleast 10 discussions everyday!my discussions dont get much response as your's!i am surprised to see some people getting 100 and more responses for theoir discussions!the maximum number of responses that i have got is 9!sob sob sob!!:(!i dont think that's good number!but yaa i try to give a response on most of my friends discussions!

I do post discussion sometimes but i do respond to many discussion as well as my friends discussion.I do respond to discussion not below 20 responses.And i am contented of my earnings.

I only start a discussion if I can think of something, sometimes I will go for a few weeks without starting a discussion. Lately I have been getting less than 10 responses, there was some of my earlier discussions that got more than 50. I don't mind though because not everyone will be interested.

It really depends on the time I have in one day. If I do not have time ,I will probably do not start any topics since I will be already very busy in replying .If I have enough time, probably at the weekend, I may start about 5 discussions topics, Of course not every topics get similar numbers of responses, some have more, but I will be happy as long as some people reply me with quality responses,I will be happier if I have 5 quality responses with 20 lines than 100 responses of one line answers. Luckily ,my friends on my list, include you always reply with high quality, I am happy about this. The numbers of responses may just depend on luck sometimes, I mean, if you get 10 responses from your friends, your discussions may got to the hot topcis or today top discussions, more and more peopel will pay attention to it and you will then get more replies. Of course you cannot expect all your friends will reply to all your discussions, like me, I do nto simply get enough time to read some many, I have my normal job,but I will try my best to give reply to my friends, especially when they just start the discussion topic,when you get 10 responses already,probably you may get some more responses from people outside your friendlist as well. i have started 7-8 discussion and not many people responded but i think around 10 people are responding in first two days of discussion started.. But answers are most helpful to our questions asked.

Yesterday I started like 6 discussions, and received 1 total response. I was hoping to get much more, but unfortunatley that wasn't the case.

I just started and have posted a few discusssion...kind of limited topics, so not much response. But, i really wanted to know the answer to these questions.
