Like many of you, I,ve been pondering whethet to upgrade my notebook to MS's WIndows Vista. I'm intrigued by the slick, 3D Aero interface, as well as Vista's promises of enhanced security easier network connections. But I'm not thirilled by the idea of performing an operating system upgrade--and I'd rather not face the possibility of incompatible software or nonexistent drivers.

yes i love the aero interface but the problem is that it takes too much RAM for normal usage so id rather stick to XP for now.

The problem with a new OS is the incompatiblility with older software. I refuse to upgrade simply for that reason. I have many software programs that would never be able to run on the Vista system so there's no reason to upgrade. Unfortuntaley my software won't be upgraded so that's another reason not to switch.
