i am not sure if this happened to other moms out there but the first time i saw my baby after giving birth to him i was so scared i didn't want to touch him! it was odd, coz while he was still in my tummy i was so excited to see him i couldn't wait giving birth. but it happened, and it took a while before i got over that fear. and after that, it felt good having him in my arms i regretted ever feeling scared of touching him the first time.

As for me, I had a similar incident when I gave birth to my son. My son is a premature baby, I gave birth to him on my seventh month, you can imagine how sacred I was. When he came out he was only 2.5 pounds! I was in the high risk pregnancy unit for 5 days after which I gave birth, thankfully it was a normal delivery. Anyways after an hour of my delivery I went straight for the nursery, even though I could barely walk, I headed there immediately because I needed to see how he was. He was so small. He wasn't even in an incubator, he was in this machine, I think they call it a "Warmer" similar to an incubator difference is its open, He had to be there so that it would be easier for them to treat him. I remember the nurse giving me a box of tissues because I started to cry, as in literally crying my eyes out. I wasn't even allowed to hold him. all I could do was touch his fingers for a little while. he had to stay in the hospital for 1 1/2 months. I was so scared I might lose him anytime soon, luckily he pulled through and I was able to take him home. That was the scariest moment of my life.
