He have an air conditioner for the summer, it's really humid here so if we don't use that, we're dripping in sweat, yuck! We have a forced air heater too, that rarely gets used, it's run on natural gas. We also have ceiling fans in our living room and the master bedroom.

I live in the UK, so intense heat is not a problem, but this is a cold house so we have electric heaters around the house and a gas fire. In the summer the heat is very humid and sticky, I do have a fan which I put on my desk beside me, or I'll keep the windows open at night, without the lights on because it encourages the bugs! It is easier to warm up than cool down.

we have electric heaters for the winter, and ceiling fans and an air conditioner for the summer. My aunt actually gave me her old air conditioner since she bought a new one.

We have a furnace and it burns propane since we have cold and snow. We had near 80 degrees on Tuesday of this week and for the past two days we have had snow. Changing from winter to spring is an up and down process. We do not air condition. We manage ok since the really humid hot weather does not usually last very long and being out in the country it is easier to take. You are fortunate that you only need a ceiling fan. We would need alot less propane and electric for just a fan.

may i know what a furnace is? is it some kind of a fireplace? 80 degrees? i was shocked at first because if it's in Celsius that's almost a boiling water temperature. lol. we never use Fahrenheit in my country. hehehe. yes, the fan doesn't require a lot of electricity. lucky us, but i would love to experience how snowing is someday. cheers

For Singapore, the weather here is hot and humid. We have heater for water for bathing but not those for heating the house. No fireplace definitely. We have aircons and fans here though.. without them, I think we would "die" from the heat. :P

I have heaters and I use a fireplace, which hs a back boiler, which also heats the water. The heat on each heater can be controlled in each individual room it is installed in rather than a central control point. It's a bit of a pain with the kids because they often turn it up too high, then fall asleep, and the heat will over cranck all night.

For wrmer countries it's must to have some cooling system to keep ourself away from humidity and heat. I have got a cooling system installed at my place from last 2 years. But in extereme heating conditions even this cooling system fails. It's hard for us to live and breath in kind of heat we have in our country .
