should Indian team be not punished

I personally feel that cricket is loved by all we indians, to some extent we are mad.After the shameful performace of Indian team , I feel that they should be banned for a year.They should not be allowed to play. That way they should be punishned.
Because of sheer madness for this game , other games are also not taken seriously by young generation. They feel only this game has future. So something should be done. I hope some people wil agree with me.Thanks

I understand your feelings but you are taking the things a bit too far. What is going to change if we ban them for 1 year. Nothing. They will get one year of extended leave.
Moreover who are we to punish them? Winning and loosing is all part of the game. But yes something is to be done to prevent our cricket going the hockey way. Let there be performance based salaries for the players. And other changes and see what happens.
