If your wife or your girlfriend earns more money than you ...
Will you be "proud" of her and be supportive or will it hurt your ego?

When my wife did earn more than I did I was proud of her and happy for us both; we share the money we earn, anyway.
It doesn't bother my ego at all - during that time I was doing more around the home than she was.
In more recent times, I've earned much more than my wife does and I'm STILL proud of her! :-)
If you're married, I think that these things shouldn't matter too much; you're working together to build a home, after all. It's just that the exact work that each of you does, and how much you get paid for doing it, varies.
Be happy for each other.

Yes it does happen a lot ....and guess it also depends on an individual.

Thanks for your positive insight on this matter, waytovj. It is good for men to allow women to earn their money, too. Besides, it will greatly help the family to meet its financial needs.

You should be proud of her and support her even more. It will be good for the family if the wife supports also in the financial aspect. Let us be practical to see things. It is a reality that it is very expensive nowadays and, difficult financially to run a family if only the husband is earning. If the husband and wife moves towards earning for the family, it will be great.
