Girl in trouble for taking care of her child

Alright, another good one on the news today. A 16 year old high school student who has had to miss some school to take care of her sick child has gotten into all kinds of trouble. The school has suspended her, detention, they even suspended her license. All because she has had to take care of her 2 year old. Now why is she being punished for doing the right thing? You can always catch up on school work. What if she were the one that were always sick. I don't get it!! She gets in trouble for taking care of her own...and if she didn't take care of the child she would probably get in trouble for that too. Sounds like a no win situation, absolutely assanine if you ask me. Either there is seriously something wrong with this school or we're not hearing the whole story. I'll keep my ears open for more. WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO!!

Yes it's a shame she got into trouble for looking after her own child. Like you said you can't win. If she didn't look after her sick child people would accuse her of neglect or even abuse. It's not just a question of what is wrong with the school, but also as you say, what is the world coming to?! A teenager is trying hard to be mature and take responsibility for her own child and is being punished for it!
