hey why race problem is comin between in a talent show?

I really don't see how you even came up with the opinion that he's going to get cut because he's indian. He is an inferior singer compared to the other contestants but yet he is still there. You could actually say that the other contestants are being discriminated against since Sanjaya's age is getting him more votes than others that are older than him. You can't really use race as a scapegoat when the top three last week were all african-american.

It's so ignorant to make accusations of racism just because someone doesn't like your favorite singer. I remember when people started saying AI was racist because Jennifer Hudson got cut. There were four black people in the top six that year and yet people had the audacity to accuse voters of racism since the least attractive and least talented of the group was voted off. If anything, Sanjaya's race is helping him in the competition. He's the only Indian and the only person that sings the way he does, whatever that is. Gina ran low on votes because she was sharing the "hot chick" vote with Haley. That was unfortunate since Gina was clearly the better singer. Eventually Lakisha will probably be eliminated because she's sharing the "powerful black girl" vote with Melinda and to a lesser degree, Jordin.

I don't think race has ever played a part in Sanjaya remaining on American Idol. Its all to do with talent and a singing voice and even though he has a personality, I don't think he is a strong contender compared to the other finalists who have strong voices and can really sing!

I don't think race plays a part in it at all. If you listen to everyone's criticism about Sanjaya from the judges, viewers, talk shows, etc. Sanjay's race has not been an issue. The problem is he can't sing or at least not on the level of the other contestants. There is no orginality to him as a performer and as a singer. He has been very gimicky so far with the mohak and then dancing with Paula. To be honest i don't even think she should have made it to Hollywood Week there were better people there. Sanjaya does have a great personality though but I think he should have gone home a long time ago and he should have taken Hailey with him.

Hi there i don't think there is any race problem happening in the AI talent show, It's just that he is not good enough to be the winner, I am from India and am proud of what he has achieved so far. But i think he is very young and has a lot to learn. there are many better singers that are being voted off the show. And also there is a buzz that howerd stern fans are voting for sanjaya cause he is the worst singer of the lot, just to make the show a big flop. I am sure sanjaya will be voted out but believe me it would be good for him as now he can easily get into the music industry cause he has a descent teen fan following, he really can make it big. But i don't think he can be an IDOL as yet.
