"Options"... What You Do!!!

I'm in such a dilemma, I need your advice. I'm an actor/ student living in a not so busy part of the city. With a couple of computer nerds (no offence). And I have a friend who I just reunited 3 weeks ago, who's a musician himself who's living downtown where it is busy. Exception to not moving I'm currently not working a regular pt job.
What would you do in this case?
Would you move to where business is?
Would it be wise to move?

I am cautious, I would wait and see about the renewed friendship, give it another three weeks or so. Meanwhile, pursue a part time job in that busier part of the city, and if need be, ask if you could stay over with that friend a day or two while you try it out. I would not just jump out of a place I was already comfortable, without a safety net of some sort.
