I think clinical depression is a very common psychological problem, and most people never seek proper treatment, or seek treatment but they are misdiagnosed with physical illness. I think its time that proper recognition to it is made by all. This is extremely unfortunate because, with proper treatment, nearly 80% of those with depression can make significant improvement in their mood and life adjustment. I think one should really go for medical check up and follow doctor's advice.

wow!! i just had this discussion with my therapist..lack of libido is on the top of the list as far as the medications that you take for depression..he told me thats more common than opeople actually think it is..unfortunately that is a side effect of many medications but, if you need the meds then you have to make a sacrifice, unfortunately libido can be a BIG one depending on your spouse or partner..causes plenty of arguments and discontent i know this first hand..but if your partner is supportive you may have the arguments but they will hang in there and try there best to have patience..im lucky my husband is patient and supportive hopefully yours is as well..

Yes it can be extremely common. Sometimes it can pass once your body gets adjusted to the medication, other times it may not. If it gets really bad, usually the doctor can switch you to another medication that may not affect you in the same way.
