How many of you voluntarily fill out surveys you get in the mail or when someone comes up to you in the malls or the street and asks you for your time? NOTE: DON'T advertise your favorite survey website referrals as an answer or I will "-" you!
What topic/s did they surveyed you about?
I did the famous "Coke vs Pepsi" survey in the 1980s. I lost - I chose Pepsi and it was Coke.

I do surveys that come in the mail. I get stuff from the home testing institute all the time.

Not very often ... but then living in a small rural town there aren't that many going around here and everyone would know what everyone else said anyway ... best to avoid them. Sometimes when we are shopping in a larger town or I am making deliveries in the truck to one of the supermarkets in a shopping mall someone will come up. Don't do them then either ... I am in my working gear with the company name emblazoned across everything ... not quite the right thing to do then.
On the internet ... yes we do them and sometimes end up in a draw for a prize but never win of course. sometimes we get cash ... takes a while to get enough for payout though .. so depends on what is on offer, how much time we have and all those sorts of things. Also depends on whether we are interested in what the survey is about ... some things hold no interest whatsoever so then we don't bother with them ... even if they are paying surveys.

I always fill out surveys because I like filling out surveys :P Even on the Internet whenever I get a survey I fill it in. I even got accounts on some survey sites (all free LOL) just for the fun of it. Unfortunately they are rarely interested in surveys filled by someone from my country so I get rather few but whatever :)

I love doing surveys... that way I have nothing to complain about because I offered my opinion. I'm not worried about always getting paid thats not always the point. I enjoy the ones at the mall because you get to sit down for a minute without all the hustle and bustle.

I don't get approached in the street too much, but I occasionally get them in the mail (from Consumer Reports, Amtrak, etc.)
Most of the surveys I do are online ones; I do them occasionally for polling companies like Harris and Zogby, and sometimes when online shopping I'll get a popup asking if I want to rate the site. I'll do it if I have the time and have a strong feeling one way or the other about the site.
