Do You Miss VHS?

So I'm sitting here in my room and I'm looking at a bunch of scattered VHS tapes that I have used a while ago to upload movies and other shows to my PC and then I got to thinking, weren't the days of VHS much nicer than today's DVD, which could actually be destroyed by a simple scratch? At least with VHS tapes you didn't have to worry about them being destroyed. The tape inside it was really protected and these tapes last more than a lifetime. Too bad we couldn't fit more stuff in one tape. Does anyone else miss VHS and the days of the VCR?
