One of the best ways to improve your writing skills is to read widely and practise writing whenever you can. By reading widely it doesn't mean that reading everything that is inferior. However, most magazines and periodicals are good enough reading. Make it a point to read works of famous and established authors. Words are a means of communication. So,go ahead? practise writing them until it is second nature. Happy writing !!!

Well said sukumar, because reading definitely improves our knowledge and the material available out there to write about. Reading helps build vocabulary and we learn new words all the time. I like to read and write and with mylot I get to do both while I enjoy it and get paid for the same ;)

Sure thing. Reading more widely will help you with the "knowledge" to write better. This said, it is still necessary to practise the writing itself since it is only in the practising of writing would your writing improve.
