Dose anyone sit down and write a good old fashioned letter by hand anymore, I mean on paper the kind you fold and put in a envelope and send thru snail mail.
I know since I got my computer I have sent mostly E- mail to everyone and I miss getting leters in the mail.
So I was wondering dose anyone out there still write a good old fashioned letter anymore?

Yes I did.My mum love to write letters and recieve some so we are just writing letters to each other. Also i forget to mention taht I live many kilometers from her , btu anyway we are talking a lot on the phone, but still find something to write to those letters. And isn't it nice if you would find something different in your mailbox? Not only bill and all those comercial magaazines?I am always so excited when i got a letter from my mum and I would hurry up inside to open ti and read it.

I haven't for a while, but I love to write letters!!!!!!
Maybe I'll sit down and write a few soon....
I'd write to you, but I don't even know you.
Remember the Pen-Pal thing? That use to be fun too. Have a great day! :o)

not everyone has the internet or computers that i know. So I do still write letters. I have family and friends I can't call and they don't have computers or no internet. though I don't like letter writing, since I started using email years ago. So I don't write letters very often.

I have to admit I'm a bit guilty of just rattling off e-mails to folks ever since I got my computer too...or call someone..but I do occasionally write out a letter..well type on the computer..LOL--writing the old fashioned way is becoming less and less a thing with me now--besides I have such crummy handwriting no one would understand my handwriting...not even me! LOL

This is such a great topic mrsbrian. I love getting letters. I actually get regular letters from a friend's mom - a friend who used to be a best friend - but I'm closer to his mom nowadays. She sends me long newsy letters - and I write back - but always forget to send the letters!!!!

I have not written more than a dozen word with a pen for very very long time. In fact, I think I only use my pen to sign my checks.
I haven't used stamps for ages. I don't think I even remember where my local post office is. Oh my God, I don't even know my neighborhood postman anymore.
LoL. Actually, though very rare, I do send an occasional postcard to my friends the traditional way. I have a pen-pal in Canada with whom I started mail-correspondence with in my teenage years. We have switched to email now but still exchange an occasional snail mail and post card

There are still a few of us who do write 'traditional' letters. I use email everyday, but I moved 1600 miles from my family 2 yrs ago, and every Sunday I sit down to write letters to go out on Monday, I also get letters since most of my family writes back. I have to admit it is fun getting cards and letters in the mailbox.
