Do You Think It's OK That Rappers Are Famous Even If They're Criminals?

Do you think it's ok for a rapper who might have spent his life selling drugs or robbing shops or killing people with guns, to live his life rich and famous? Do you think it's perfectly fine for someone like that to sign with a record label and make music like any other recording artist? Shouldn't he be treated like a criminal and prosecuted? In my opinion, it would be fine for him to make music but only if he proves that he doesn't live the life of a criminal anymore. But everyone knows that all rappers only talk about crime in their songs. Guns, drugs, women. They're practically boasting the fact that they commited crimes and got away with it. Is this acceptable in your opinion?

For me, they are not supposed to be idolized, neither they should be given opportunities to be a celebrity. They are not morally upright. Kids always look up to their idols. And to be an idol, the singer or the rapper must show good examples and must compose songs that manifests moral values.

Well, your words make sense, but I don't think the record companies would care that much about kids and bad influences. They just want the money from the album sales.
