It hasn't even been a month since my husband died but there is no let up in the things that are happening in my life. My five month old granddaughter, who was born prematurely with only one working kidney, just had a part of her right lung removed yesterday. Doctors found out she was born with chornic emphasema, which caused cists to grow on her lung. She was having difficulty breathing so she was taken into the emergency room about a week ago. Now she is on a ventilator recovering from sugery. I found out today that her brother has pnemonia. I'm beginning to feel like Job in the bible. This is some storm the family is going thru but in the end we know that God calmed the waters. Eventually there will be peace.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Rom. 8:28).
The good here is not related to physical persons, matters, or things. It refers to our gaining of Christ, to our having Him wrought into our being, that we may be transformed metabolically and may eventually be conformed to His image, the image of the Son of God (v.29). (www.recoveryversion.org)

I quote that piece of scripture to myself alot. And it is always my prayer that good would come from all these situations I find myself in lately. One son in-law has decided to attend church regularly with my youngest daughter because he believes that is what my late husband would have wanted. Its a step in the right direction and something my daughter has been praying for. Even in these sad times God has given me something to rejoice about.

My heart hurts for you. How stalwartly you are standing right now; but know that you do not have to stand that toughly. You are in pain and that pain, hurt, and anger must be released. I dearly love the picture of you smiling and I am most sure that is how your are presenting yourself to the outside world; as you are presenting yourself to your grouping of friends here. It is most wonderful that you have faith. But, dear one, I hope that when at night you lay in your bed, and feel the empty space beside you, and clutch the pillow where your loving husband's head should still be, I hope you are able to really release some of your heartbreak to your Lord and your Savior. And also know, that your church friends, your neighbors, and even your internet friends will not think less of you if you are broken. Friends are the glue that will pull together to help and heal your wounds, precious woman. You and your family will be added to my prayer list and placed beside my daily candle. Your Sister in Love~Donna

Oh Bless your heart. I feel so sorry for you. Life has a way of being cruel sometimes. I know what you mean about Job. So many times I have felt like that too. Sometimes you wonder if you are really as strong as Heavenly Father thinks you are but rest assured you are that strong and he is there even if it dont feel like it sometimes. Stay strong. I will be thinking of you.

I stand on His promises that He would not give me more then I could bear. And I remind myself that in the end everything was better then before for Job.
