For me, - this is the best of all holidays! Here in the UK we get a whole 4 days off work (from Thursday evening until next Tuesday morning), and the weather is so much nicer than it is in the depths of Winter at Christmas.
So does anyne have any special plans for this long week-end? Are you visitng relatives/having frends to stay/going to the coast for a few days............please let me know.
As for me - well it is my Dad's Birthday on Sunday, so we'll be taking him out for lunch, and spending that day with him. Also a rare chance for me to sleep in past 5.00am in the morning, and watch some of my precious tennis on TV as it is Davis Cup competition this weekend. How about you?

My daughter, the grandsons, and my daughters boyfriend are coming over. I have no idea if my sons cominhg over or not. As he doesn't talk to us at all anymore it seems. Haven't heard from him in almost a months time now. But we are having an egg hunt for the grandsons then they get their Easter Baskets Grandpa Bob made. A big ham dinner then maybe watch a movie with the grandkids. Nothing really fancy or big plan today.
HAPPY EASTER FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well- it doesn't have to be big and fancy really does it? As long as you have your family with you! I'm sure you'll have great fun - and I hope your son gets back in touch with you soon.

I have so many family things and lunches I have to go to so my easter is really booked up. Just got an SMS with an invitation for tomorrow evening (the only time during the easter I were free). Oh well, at least I'm having fun.

I was hoping for a visitor this weekend but I've heard nothing and he is not contactable. So I'm feeling bored and lonely which is so unusual for me.
My back is aching so I'm feeling quite low.
Glad to here you can take full advantage of some precious days off. Hope your dad enjoys his birthday outing.

Oh I am sorry that you're feeling low. Hope that your back gets better soon, and that you can at least get out a bit in the sunshine.

Yes, The UK, First proper holiday of the year. I used to work on the seafront of Blackpool, so it was absolute bedlam. 70 hour week. But now I'm a teacher, finished a very long term, and I'm going to do nothing. NOTHING!. Fat chance. This is Good Friday, so I've cleaned the car, mowed the lawn, serviced the mower, spent the morning potting plants, moving rubbish to the tip. Saturday isn't a day off - so its shopping, with the other great unwashed - at least those who are not in a traffic jam on our wonderful roads! Sunday might just be easier. I have to serve the car, wash it and clean it inside and out. Well at least its a break! Back at work Thursday, Two days before the nippers.

LOL! I did my shopping last night! So I am intending to do even more of NOTHING!!! I bet it was still quite chilly on Blackpool seafront at this time of year though wasn't it? Thanks for your response.

My husband and I teach at different colleges. The college for which I teach gave Friday off, but the college at which he teaches did not. Both children were out of school, so we could have gone for a 3 day weekend if hubby had Friday off. We all have to work/be in school on Monday. So it ended up being a regular weekend for us in terms of amount of time off. We will spend a quiet weekend home. My parents will join us for Easter dinner on Sunday.

Hiya,
The first thing people say about teaching is - what about the holidays? There does seem to be more time for holidays, but I've never quite figured out where it goes!

Our city is known to have beautiful beaches that surround our island. Just like the past Easter, all roads lead to the beaches...probably, me and my family will not be g oing there. I don't like the crowd, but there is a new waterpark just being opened this year. We planned to go there. We already made a booking in case there might be no available during that day!

For this easter my plans are very much...Im not a christian. Our college has given us three days hols for easter and all christian friends have to go to church but we dont have to..So for all non-christians its the time of ultimate celebration.I ve gone for a picnic yesterday to a famous water fall which is about 50 kms from our college.QWe came back in evening and went for movie.Today Im too tired that I dont feel like going out..We were planning to go for a trecking today but cancelled it since we came late in night after the movie...Tomoro we were planning to go to the city but I think it will get cancelled since the dept is planning to have a big test paper for us on comimg thursday..If its like thet, then our plan will change and we will be going for trecking tomoro to the nearby hill..It must be very interesting...

Well, I will have to say it will not be as big as any other easter we have had. We are gonna give the kids their baskets, well sit them out overnight, ya know. Then we will have a egg hunt in the morning and I am not sure if we are having a dinner or not, if so it will for sure be a smal small one. We did not even have a x-mas or thanksgiving dinner. We normally do but this year we moved to florida, and with the warm and hot weather it just did not feel like xmas that is why we did not reall celebrate. But it feels like easter now, so we we celebrate but not big at all.

Quiet weekend here for me thanks Rosie, I am going slightly stir crazy not being able to go to the gym, but I have promised myself to go easy and to go back on Tuesday! Light exercise to start with. Went shopping today and have just watched Pet Semetary, so it'll be a relaxing weekend, watching tv, on the computer, little housework and diving into my eggs hopefully Sunday. I may go out Sunday or Monday depending on how I feel for a bit of R&R.

my mom and i are just staying at home because we dont have the budget to go on a trip right now. Most malls and shops are closed for Lent here in the philippines, so it doesnt give us much options. We might go out on sunday, but for now we will just stay at home.

It's Good Friday here today. We don't have any special plans. Just going to stay home with the family. We were planning to take our son to the park but it turned out to be a cold day (bbrr!!!) so we stayed home. Tomorrow, our church is having Easter egg hunt for the kids so we're taking our little one there. On Sunday, we go to church in the morning. And we've been invited to an Easter dinner at a friend's house Sunday night. Should be fun!

Well today I was off because of Good Friday. I got up early, went food shopping, came home and did some cleaning. My hubby grilled some hot dogs on the grill for lunch, I made macaroni salad. We played a game of pool. And I've been hanging out every since. Tomorrow we don't have plans. We will hang out at home and probably watch a movie. Sunday we are going to watch an Easter parade in our area. Nothing too exciting but it will be relaxing.
