What were your favorite songs by her?
My fave is probably "Invincible." The funny thing is that in comparison to her other songs, I don't think that one got that big, at least here in the states. (U.S.)
I like her voice because it's powerful & confident ~ and yet she can sing pretty, slow stuff too. I guess that "versatile" is the word I'm looking for.
Any other thoughts on Pat? (Btw ~ I love her last name! I think it's got a lot of character.) ;)

I would have to say my favorite song of hers is "Love Is A Battlefield", I like "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" too. Pat Benatar was the second concert I went to as a teenager. It was a great show, I went with a neighbor who was on leave from the army, so that made it fun too. I agree her voice is tremendous, it really gives each song meaning or something like that. I think she's great.

I love Pat Benetar. I just mentioned in another of your posts that I have some of her stuff on vinyl. I have to say, my favorite is "Love is a Battlefield". I know that's probably what everyone picks - but I love the attitude, the video, the clothes, the hair, that dance she does... it's just so great. I wanted to be Pat Benetar when I was a kid.

I love Pat Benatar and in particular the song "Invincible". It was the theme song for the movie "The Legend of Billy Jean" which I did enjoy. The video for the song was very good as well. I also like "I need a Hero" and "Hit me with your Best Shot". I recently saw her on Crossroads on CMT with Martina McBride and she was great on there. She was also on one episode of Charmed. She's still around and doing a lot. She is versatile and does a lot of different things. You never know where she'll turn up next.

The hills are alive with the sound of music.
Come on everybody, let's sing a song.
But we don't know any song.
Let's start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with
A-B-C
When you sing you begin with do-re-mi
Do-re-mi
Do-re-mi
The first three notes just happen to be
Do-re-mi
Do-re-mi
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti
Oh, let's see if I can make it easier
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow sew
Tea, I drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to do...oh oh oh
