I think it is possible to give a good, succinct reply, possibly in three lines, but it is not possible for me. I still look at content, as well as length. I do not necessarily give a - rating for being too short, but I do leave it unrated, often. I rate gibberish as - and then report it as abuse as well. What you are describing sounds fair to me. Long responses, however can be a bunch of garbage as well.

Hi! I think every user has different ways on how to look at and rate responses to their discussion. I would like to say that it really doesn't matter how long their responses are. What matters is that they were able to express what they think in so short as 3 or 4 lines. If the user can come up only with a 3-liner response I would rate it positively as long as it is relevant and sensible. Although it says to be as DESCRIPTIVE as possible, I also take into consideration that not all of the users (me included) can be descriptive in a language we understand and studied poorly. I think myLot is a good opportunity for us who cannot express quite as decriptively as others to improve. And for those who are excellent in writing descriptively to help.
