You have had a favourite book for years, you read it time and time again.
Then Hollywood announces that it is to be made into a movie.
Great you think until you hear that a certain actor or actress that you really hate is going to play the lead.
Would you still go see the movie or would the fact that it features someone you hate put you off that movie for life?

I can't think of anyone I would hate enough that it would bar me from seeing the movie. Maybe I would be more curious if it was someone I didn't like just to see how they played the role. I know that one of my favorite books is being made into a movie soon and I'm very excited about that. I really don't even care who is cast in the movie as I know I will see it in any event.

well, i haven't experienced this with hollywood.. but i have totally experienced this with our local showbiz industry.. i love a comic book that was turned into a musical play and was announced that would be shown in the big screen! at first they announced who would play the roles and it was good! and then, after a few weeks they totally changed the whole cast leaving just one good cast and the rest won't really measure up!
i still watched the movie though, but i was really disgusted. haay!

No, I wouldn't. What's the point of going to a movie when you'll have every minute of it because of the actor? You'll just be wasting perfectly good money. :) Besides, the movie will disappoint you anyway coz they'll probably cut a lot a of the good parts to fit to two hours. Actor that I hate? CLAIRE DANES! ;)

I haven't been to see Casino Royale because I just don't like the look of this new guy playing Bond.
Seen a couple of trailers and have no interest in seeing the film because just can't take to him as Bond

It's not that Daniel Craig is pathetic as Bond. The whole movie sucks as Bond. No witticisms, the womanizing is less like seduction and more like forced entry, and the kills just don't have Connery's or even Brosnan's finesse. I't would've made more since had Schwarzenegger been behind the wheel of the Aston Martin. At least with him, you know it's a killfest. Bond movies aren't supposed to have that much brutality.
